Welcome to the first of a regular series of updates, intended to keep you informed of the progress being made on the Diocese of Buffalo’s Road to Renewal. 

The Transition Team, comprised of two lay leaders from every parish as well as the Transition Team leader, assists in the major evaluation, assessment, and drafting of a pastoral plan for the family. The parish lay leaders will be commissioned by the pastor at a parish Mass. In the pilot program families, these teams have already started meeting.

One of the primary goals of the Transition Team is to develop the Pastoral Plan.  The Pastoral Plan will define goals, strategies, outcomes, and methodology for reaching a vibrant future with vitality and fiscal responsibility. The Pastoral Plan will be strategic for short- and long-term planning for the family with clearly identified attainable outcomes.
